Why would I want to buy vitamins from Amazon.com? I was sure there must be some mistake when Amazon offered Ocuvite vitamins for LESS than half the drug store price. I took a chance and in only 4 days had 240 Ocuvite Vitamins in my mail. They are identical to what I just paid twice as much at the drug store. Even adding a hefty $6 for postage I am saving over 35%. This is a great deal, 2 bottles of 120 capsules each, costing me less than two bottles of 60 capsules each at the drug store. I'm a happy camper, will look further at Amazon health product prices.

I recently had my annual eye exam and my optometrist told me my script hasn't changed (which is good). After I explained to her subtle changes I've noticed in my vision (of course it's because I'm getting older), she knew exactly what was going on and recommended the Ocuvite. I've been using it for almost 2 months now. It's totally a subjective opinion, but I do think it has helped with the clarity of my vision, I don't see those little floater proteins (I call them worms) hardly at all, no halo-ing (is that a word?), and I actually see a little better at night than before. It's still pretty early which is why I'm only giving it 4 out of 5 stars... but so far, I think it's working so I'll stay with it. When I first started shopping to stock up, I wasn't happy at all with the prices I saw at my local stores so I decided to try Amazon since I buy a lot from them. Huge difference in price so that's where I'm going to be re-stocking when the time comes.

Recommended by my VA ophthalmologist as well as Consumer Reports. It won't cure your macular degeneration but it may slow its progress. At this price you have nothing to lose...except your vision.

Ocuvite: Good price on excellent product May 28, 2009

I am getting Ocuvite for my mother who is 84 and has problems with vision (early macular degeneration). Lutein supplement is a MUST for her condition and age. She was using it for several years. As a former oftalmologist (eye doctor), she is very satisfied with this product.

Ocuvite was recommended by my Optalmologist as a supplement that would help delay the probable onset of both glaucoma and macular degeneration, both being evident in family eye health history. After a year-and-a-half of its daily use, all is well.
