5This may be all that's keeping me alive  Dec 09, 2008 By Book Geek
I'm working part-time and attending school, spending my days surrounded by germy students, spending my nights getting very little sleep, and generally being under a lot of stress. And I *really* don't have time to get sick. So at the beginning of the semester, I bought a couple of tubes of Airborne and some boxes of Emergen-C. For three months, I've been taking one Emergen-C packet every morning and having a dose of Airborne in the evening whenever I feel especially worn down (about once every two weeks).

The result? I have not been sick *one single day* in three months. This time last year, I had one cold after another--or maybe a continuous cold that started in mid-September and dragged on until March. So it's my unscientific opinion that the daily Emergen-C is making the difference. Like I said, I do take the occasional Airborne, but since Emergen-C costs about 2/3 as much per serving, if you're going to take one of these as a preventive, Emergen-C is the better deal.

I don't feel any "energy boost," but who knows how I'd be feeling if I were under this much stress and *not* taking this stuff every day? I'm certainly not going to take the chance of finding out, at least until I have a spare week in which I can afford to be laid up with a cold.

As far as flavor goes, I prefer the tangerine to the "tropical" one, and I like them both better than the berry-flavored "bone health" version (which doesn't fizz; no fun!). Those are the only ones I've tried so far.

4Emergen-C Relief  Feb 04, 2010 By H. Adamski "AngelzRealm"
At the beginning of 2009, i would get at least one cold/flu a month and by the time July came around, i counted SIX times i had gotten sick since January. I was SICK of being SICK!! So I decided to try this Emergen-C stuff that everyone was talking about. I have taken Airborne before but never saw any difference. Plus I saw on the news that Airborne does not actually work.

So I went online and had a sample of each flavor sent to me. I decided I liked the Tangerine flavor the best. After purchasing my Emergen-C at the local Walmart, 10-13 dollars, I started taking it. Yes, the taste was pretty strong!

The package says to put the powder mix into a full bottle or glass of water. I have modified this ratio for taste purposes. I drink my bottle water until there is about 1/4 of the water left. And then I add the packet of Emergen-C. Close the bottle, and shake it. Then drink it like a shot. Follow it down with some more water. After a few times, you get used to the taste and I don't really need to follow it with more water all the time. Sometimes I just sip my little Emergen-C [shot] throughout the whole day. [hoping maybe taking the vitamin C gradually would help absorb the nutrients even more]

I only take this supplement when I'm working with people who are sick, or if I feel like I'm getting sick, or have a really tired day. Hoping that maybe I can gain some energy out of it!

I hope this review has helped!

5Drink it EVERYDAY!  Mar 13, 2009 By A. Alvey
I am an avid fan of Emergen-C. I do my best to get in 2 a day. I started taking them when I was on a new diet. I was going to a clinic and the nurses recommended them to ensure that I got all of my daily vitamins. Your body absorbs vitamins much more this way rather than taking the huge horse pills. The clinic also recommend them to help curb headaches. I was giving up my beloved 'Diet Coke' and this was the only thing that made it possible. Plus the B vitamins really boost your metabolism.
These are also great when you feel a cold coming on. They really help to boost your immune system. I never leave home without Emergen-C!

I've liked all of the flavors I have tried so far. I love mixing them with Crystal light or something similar. With the Tangerine, my favorite thing to mix it with is Orange Juice in the morning. It is a great way to start your day. It really perks you up! I also mix this with the Lemonade Crystal Light and made it Tangerine Lemonade. It's delicious.

5Yummy!  Jan 03, 2009 By J. Marren "jtm497"
This fizzy, refreshing drink is a great way to get a boost in the morning with lots of Vitamin C without upsetting a sensitive stomach. My chiropractor recommended it to fight colds. I don't know if it works but it certainly can't hurt! Tastes great! Amazon price is lowest I've found.

I have been using Emergen-C for many years. The multivitamin tastes great and helps me to hydrate after sleeping. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this to family or friend.
