I take both of these for peripheal neuropathy. It makes a very noticeable difference . I like Source Naturals because I have celiac disease and have to have a gluten free product, and having managed a nutrition department for Whole Foods Market I know they are a reputable company I can trust. This is the recommended dose for treating neuropathy and it works for me. Less money spent and fewer pills to take with the combo.

Excellent Product and Great Results May 29, 2011

I used this product for chemo induced peripheral neuropathy.
I had excellent results, and now, 3 months later the tingling is almost totally gone in my hands and feet. After my chemo was over, I took 3 tablets a day; 2 with breakfast and one with lunch. I highly recommend it to others who many be going through chemotherapy that may have a side effect of peripheral neuropathy. I also used My Community Lion's Mane, and massaged in TKO Pain Relief from Garden of Health...don't give up!
The added benefit of this combination of amino acids was that my thinking became ultra clear. My brain was functioning at ultimate efficiency. Dr. Daniel Amen (the brain guru) uses this combination of Acetyl L-Carnitine and Alpha Lipoic Acid in his brain function products, so I know I am on the right track with this combination.
I highly trust Source Naturals as a manufacturer of products.

For some reason the count is not listed in the product description. Just so there is no confusion in light of the big discount, each bottle contains 60 pills of 650mg.

Several years ago I read an article in a popular science magazine about the positive effects that Acetyl L-Carnitine and Alpha-Lipoic Acid had on the ability of rodents learning how to survive in a tank of water with only a small platform on which to rest. The control rodents in this lab test didn't fare well and apparently drowned. Well, so far - since taking this dietary supplement on a daily basis - I haven't drowned in a water tank.
