I'm a teacher and it's more often the rule than not that I have working lunches at school. Before the school year began I scoured the internet for quick meal options. I am gluten free (easier known as "wheat free" for those not familiar with gluten - LOL) and had to take that in account when looking. Mix 1 was the answer to my search!! At the beginning of the school year, Amazon ran a promotion for 40% off sport/nutrition drinks and we already have an Amazon Prime account, so that was a double bonus--and I stocked up for the year. Some of the Mix 1 flavors are quite tasty; some are just ok--but I've never drank a nutrition shake and said "oh, this is the most wonderful drink in the world" :). BUT, that being said, I would not call them horrible! And after drinking them all year--one fruit/vegie and one protein each day--I look forward to them. I don't have to worry about what I'm putting into my body--no more checklists to make sure I'm getting enough fiber (which is greatly important to a woman!) and the protein drink is wonderful on the way home during my long commute. I drink the fruit/vegie one as a mid-morning snack.
YES, refrigerate the drinks!! And make sure you shake the fruit/vegie drinks A LOT because the contents tend to settle and stick to the bottom. Mix 1 has become such a staple in my hand at school, that some students have even purchased and tried them on their own...

After working out, I need something more substantial than water to quench my thirst. I've tried the protein powders from various vendors, and while they taste ok, they're usually either too thick and bland or chunky from stirring in the water. The Mix1 drinks have neither problem. They have a good berry taste, no "chalky" aftertaste, and are smooth from start to finish. They also contain a good serving of protein, which is helpful when dinner may be a ways off.

At over $2/ea, they aren't cheap, but the convenience and flavor make it worth it to me.

Not really sure where to go with this one. The flavor wasn't too bad but it was gone before you could really savor it. Maybe market it in a bigger sized bottle.

I've been on a kick with protein shakes lately, trying a bunch of different ones, and these are the best ones i've found. Most of them seem to have a similar calorie count, but the other brands are usually really thick chocolate or vanilla. these were light and refreshing and a change of pace taste wise. so far the berry is my favorite but i'm curious to try the other flavors.

Plus, I dont mind bringing something like Mix1 into a mtg at work. it's not like drinking slimfast or something where everyone knows you're on a diet!

good for you.. tastes great.. great for people on the run.. good for anytime.. after lifting weights.. when u can't anything.. when ur making a decision of getting a bic mac or drinking this??

plus u get free shipping on these drinks.. u save a bundle on that alone.. and there loaded with the good stuff... and unloaded with the bad stuff.. what more can u ask for??
