Not healthy! Aug 28, 2008
By John F. Wright 11 ounces packed with sugar... yes, this little bottle has 22g of sugar (the number 3 & 4 ingredients). I don't think this should be advertised as a nutrition drink. It's basically water, whey protein and sugar with a small amount of vitamins and minerals.
It's quite thick, not like a juice. I didn't particularly care for the flavor but it was ok.
Most vitamins are one third the RDA and thus very weak. Essentially there is too much sugar and too little nutrition packed in a 200 calorie bottle.
It would be a lot healthier to just drink a bottle of water and swallow a decent multi-vitamin.

Great for Lactose-Intolerant People Feb 10, 2010

I bought these at a GNC nearby, and I love them! Like all protein drinks, there's a small aftertaste. It's not bad at all, especially compared to like a Muscle Milk shake made at home. The flavor, otherwise, is really great. It's a smooth drink with a very nice flavor. It's nice and gentle on my stomach, and really energized me and kept me full for a while.

Not too sweet no after taste Sep 23, 2008
By M. Wolf There are two things I have found about nutritional drinks. Most have way too many sugars and other have a powdery after taste. Some even have both!
Mix 1 Mango has a nice balance between sweet and tangy with no after taste. The texture is smooth and not overly thick.
Great taste, well balance nutrition and it avoids a lot of the common food allergens.
Because it is packaged in a light weight plastic recyclable bottle it is lighter weight than many of the other meal replacement drinks.

Fantastic! Perfect Meal in a Bottle Sep 08, 2008

I've worked in jobs where sometimes you can't stop; much less sit and eat. This item, Mix1, took care to provide all I needed in a meal and more. It's everything one needs in a world of nonstop, get-there-first rat racing. Hungry at work and can't go to a restaurant or cafeteria? Just finished working out and your body needs critical nutrients and you don't want/can't risk fast food? Want to hold the calorie intake down and want anything that's better than a bland meal-replacement shake? Don't want the usual coffee pick-me-up? Mix1 is the answer to all those questions. It might be the answer to your nutrition quandary. I drink it at work when it's crazy and there's no time for a 15-minute break. I drink it when I finish at the gym. I drink it as a snack when my earlier meal was less than healthy. I even use it when I feel run-down from stress or an oncoming cold. It's fantastic! I compare it to a Met-Rx shake (a thoroughly complete mix, but needs a blender for good prep) mixed with V-8's Fusion juice (4 vegetables and 4 fruit juices in one bottle, but no protein). I cannot recommend this product enough. By the way, research shows that for a more complete recovery one must consume protein with carbs in a 3xcarbs-to-1xprotein ratio. Mix1 is a great start and finish!

Less filling, tastes great! :) Sep 06, 2008

It actually does taste good. Of course, 'taste' is quite a subjective matter so, to establish some frame of reference, I drink V8s in the winter, eat mass quantities of raw tomatoes while in season, real mangoes whenever they are on sale. But, given that I wouldn't take real mangoes to the office - messy to handle on a desk - I can see myself keeping a few bottles of 'mix one' in the fridge to help me start the day on good note.
To sum it up: 200 calories, nice ingredients, including real mango juice, the expected amounts of vitamins and minerals.
Overall, I enjoyed it. There is no after-taste and it seems to be filling enough to keep me going through lunch. If the price seems right to you and you enjoy the mango taste, go for it.
